    Default 10 yr old boys

Iv got a new child starting with me for holidays care.
I will only have him when he comes out of boarding school.
He is the oldest I will have cared for and so im a little stuck for ideas on what he might enjoy.

    Any ideas would be great.

    Thanks

Outings are good:- parks, have you space to take his bike/scooter, bowling, cinema (if feeling flush). Activities at home:- making burgers, pizzas, baking. Find out his interests my DS is nearly 10 and is really into Star Wars atm, he got quite a few Star Wars books for Christmas that he enjoys looking at (check out book people). Lego is always a winner, films and my mindees have access to a wii here which as you can imagine goes down well (the games aren't too expensive as it's an oldish console now - but the boys don't care as they are different to what they have at home). As well as my Son I have a couple of boys aged 8 and 9 who come here.

When you get to meet him...if you have not already done so...ask him what his interests are...does he like games, going out, or any specific activities?
that way you will be sure to cater for his interests.

I used to have many older boys around that age...never a problem...get them involved and they are very happy indeed as long as they have time to be happy and be with other children.
