'Assessed'- do you mean Ofsted graded inspection? (it says pre-reg though in your id) or are you talking about a written assessment/course yo need this for?

If it is Ofsted assessing you then you need to know where the child is in EYO, have ideas for next steps and be working towards those with whatever you are planning. Go for something you know the child loves, an inspection is not the time to be trying new things! Is this a 9mth old you know well? or just started?
For a 9mth old pre-crawler you might be looking at encouraging them to pull-up to standing, having lots of space to roll and belly-shuffle etc, selection of balls, wheeled toys etc for little one to reach for etc. But go with what the child usually likes.

Finger painting with edible paints. You can google the recipe and pop him into he high chair to do it. Whether he's simply playing and eating or makes some kind of picture you can still make notes and obs xx
