I was talking about this with hubby the other day. All the text books show Autumn trees full of golden leaves and so if you live in a 'treeless' area as I did you would only think of trees as green, then golden, then bare and then full of blossom. I think it's very important to point out to he children the trees as they are changing, so a few golden leaves, and then half and half if you see what I mean. So, if the signs of changing seasons are there then we need to point them out, regardless of our own perceptions of when seasons should begin and end. Did that make any sense? I'm in waffle mode! x

Lovely blog! We've been on several, then the bright stuff came back and now we're pretending its summer again!

We are so lucky to live in Sherwood forest - the children watch the changing seasons and absorb knowledge without really having to think about it! Every school run is an autumn walk , although Im putting the 'theme' of autumn off as long as possible and still enjoying summer!!

Would love to but all the trees near me still think it's summer. Having lovely summer walks though.

We had a lovely Autumn Walk on Tuesday, it was sunny and warm but some leaves have fallen so we could crunch through them. Collected some for leaf rubbing and to laminate.
