    Default Roald Dahl Day

So it's Roald Dahl Day on 13th September and this year is also 50th anniversary of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...
I am going to plan for the week leading up to the 13th.

At a quick look mindees and myself are going to:

Make fox masks (Fantastic Mr Fox)
Have peaches for snack, and decorate a giant peach template together (James and Giant Peach)
Make a 'medicine' collage (Georges Marvellous Medicine)
I am going to make crocodile puzzles and sing '5 little crocodiles' (The Enormous Crocodile)
And with the older ones make dream jars (BFG)

And of course lots of reading and looking at the books

I'm only planning on a week of activities however it may carry on into the following week too

    Any other ideas?

ds loved it even took it into school so they could read it too - got to admit Roald Dahl has encouraged him to read
