Default Chinese new year wishing tree

Have a look at this chinese tradition of throwing orages into a wishing tree and making wishes

You could print the photos from the top link to make a really nice display .
You could go and throw oranges in your local park (maybe !) but i thought a variation on the theme could be to decorate your own wishing tree . You could collect up some sticks and tie them together or buy some of those ornimental sticks and then decorate with ribbons and tie 'wishes' to it .
    For inspiration look at this........

Just something a bit different really that ties in with chinese new year xx

I love the wishing tree idea, there's loads of twigs in our garden at the mo due to the wind so I might go and collect some - they don't go off do they? (Is that a stupid question!!!!)

That is a lovely idea thanks Rach...

Lorri - they might go a bit off if they are used soggy. I'd give them a day or so by a radiator to dry out and let any creepy crawlies to disappear...

Thanks Sarah, that's a good idea - I know the leaf collages we did all curled up after a few days and wondered if the twigs might do something weird too!
