Default Activities for the patron saints

Hello all, and happy st.patricks day!!

The thought occurred to me that I haven't really ever done much for these days, my mindees have always been too young, but this year they are approaching three so maybe I should some more effort in other than colouring in flags!!

Does anyone have any ideas? Do you do much for these days? I would need to do my research on the saints *embarrassed* xx

We made leprechaun puppets last year, with a loo roll for the body and used a picture of themselves for the face, very cute!! Printed off a hat and beard that they stuck on and coloured the loo roll in green!

We have made snakes from egg boxes, and I have printed crosswords with words about snakes and st. patrick and a shamrock dot to dot to colour. I have also put up a fact sheet about St Patrick to add to the display. On another note, I arrived at school with mindee this morning to be greeted by parent that I had never met before, who covered my cheeks with blue and pink powder paint, hugged me and said, "Happy Holi". I looked lovely walking home on my own with a very colourful face!
