    Default Birthday activity

    Morning all

I was just wondering if anyone has any nice activities they do for mindees birthdays? One of mine is 3 on Saturday so trying to think of something nice to do with all the children.

    Thank you!

One of my mindees was 3 a few months ago, he wasn't here on his birthday but the day after he was so we all made fairy cakes together, stuck a candle in one and sang happy birthday!

I was going to do games as well for them but none of them were interested lol

We usually do a little tea but only if their birthday happens fall on a day they are here. Otherwise it's just to expensive.

    Same here.
I do usually make cakes for tea on the closest day mindee is here and we sing happy birthday.
I had a 3 yr old on her birthday last term and she wanted a bus ride to feed the ducks. On my birthday we went to flamingoland! :-D

we do a little tea party on the first day theyre with me after their birthday.i don't find it too expensive as it is instead of their normal evening meal.we use paper plates to get the party feeling and the birthday boy/girl gets a gold paper plate (might seem like a little thing but they all love getting it)the birthday boy/girl wears the birthday hat(a giant cake hat with candles in it) and we sing happy birthday,The parents love it,especially those who cant afford a party(or cant be bothered in some cases)and ive a few parents who don't know many other children so it would be hard to do a party themselves.

I make a cake and we sing happy birthday. If theres any cake left they take some home . The last mindees birthday i did a huge chocolate brownie topped with strawberries ( 2 favourites in one!!). We had it as a picnic at the park, went down a treat

Thanks everyone - seems like cake is a good option!! We are going to make birthday hats this afternoon after naps and probably do cakes tomorrow.
