Can anyone point me in the direction of any good websites/downloads/activities to help my mindee age nearly 3 with naming his emotions. He has a speach delay, has just started linking 2 words together.

I am making a new game at the moment - I have emotions faces and a mirror for the children to use. They look in the mirror and play 'pulling faces' and we talk about how the faces are feeling as they play
Thanks Sarah that's a great idea. Where did you get your emotions faces from? I think I would need to start with me naming things for him, He has very little speech, it is coming on lots now, but I do something focussed with him every morning while the baby naps. He can talk about things that interest him or that he sees. 'Big Didor' (Dinosaur) 'Long tail' 'Big teeth.' Has started to do shapes/colours from playing games, can name characters in Brown Bear Brown Bear (this book has been amazing to help him link 2 words) I was thinking about a book with faces or laminating and making into a book. He likes pointing at pictures for me to name, start with that then move onto a game. I was also thinking of doing something similar with body parts as he has never vocalised any body parts, nose, eyes, hands etc. I made him a little book with his family photo's in and within a month he was able to say all their names, so I think books and games really work for him.
I got mine from on here under Free downloads printed off Emotions board and faces showing emotions and laminated them.
The ones in childmindinghelp are black and white - feelings chart here -

There are some nice colour ones on Communication 4 all here -

I like ****** resources too -
My Emotions Primary Resources, emotion, feeling, happy, sad
we made our own.... I drew a template of a bunch of grapes, but put the heading on as "A Bunch of Feelings", then took photos of each of the children making different faces for the different feelings - ie big smile for "happy", sad face for "sad" (obviously!) etc - you get the gist. Another thing I did a while ago, was to make a big chart for a little girl who wasn't very good at expressing the way she feels. I wrote the names of the feelings and printed off some emoticons, used velcro on the backs and on the main chart and she was able to pick the one she felt each day and stick it on the chart. Worked well.
