I'm struggling with Task 7 CYPOP5 so if anyone could help I'd be really grateful.
Compare how other resources are available for children to support their play.
What do they mean by other resources??
Thankyou in advance. X

whick task number are you doing?
Task 7 I just can't really get my head round how to write any of it
i did as the book showed a chart with three headings, resource, good points, bad points.
Then used the examples given, Lego, Dolls and added other toys and also enviroments of play, soft play, parks, playgroups, library ryhme time etc.
so eg
Parks, good because it means the kids get exercise and fresh air, bad because its not great for non walkers as no toys at their level and dirty floor
other resources could be...
Climbing frame (Encourages hand and eye coordination, turn taking)
Making a collage from scrap resources (Using unfamiliar resources )
Water/ sand play (Extends vocabulary by discussing objects )
Hope it helps
Thankyou. Also could you explain to me what this means in my simple mind, again Task 7.
Identify how and why it is important that children receive equal treatment and access, based on their individual needs and acknowledging their rights.
I just can't get my head around the wording.

i pasted my equality policy in and then a little bit about why i wrote the bits. I do think looking at it now though i should have also written about, personal space, recognising a childs emotional state etc. Just submitted so time will tell!
Thanks, this is the first task I just can't get in to. Trying now and parents got my children tomorrow so I hope I can crack it the. Who are you doing yours with?
I did the same as khwomitchell.I also talked about children with impairments, space, training etc.. hope this helps.
I submitted my task 7 this pm and have passed it. Now I have task 8 and 9 together to do. My assessor has slightly changed things so I now have a lot of reading to do about Baby P and Victoria Climbie. Not going to start it tonight as I want to sleep and I've got piles of ironing to do. Deadline is 26th and then I'm done. If I pass them that is. I can't wait. What do you have left to do or are you done?

Good luck on the rest and hope the info i gave is good x
hi ive had my course referred back for more detail on task 7 what children gain from play and how i would promote play, ive listed all activities and advantages and disadvantages of what each child can learn from these but the assessor wants more detail, if anyone done this course could you please help me with it am at the point of pulling my hair out.
Hiya, I have submitted task 7 and had it referred. The assessor said "You show a good understanding of inclusion through play. Please give more information on your challenging and enjoyable learning environment in the home - give more information about your routines such as the school run etc" I really don't know what to write. I have uploaded my Continuous Provision guide and I gave loads of info in the first submission, so am really stuck on what to add :/
Please could someone give me a bit of advice? Thank you
Could anyone help me with task 7
5.4 Identify how and why it is important that children receive equal treatment and access, based on their individual needs and acknowledging their rights.
5.5 Compare how other resources available for children support their play
4.2 Explain how they would adapt routines to meet the needs of children at different ages and stages of development.
I am stuck and can't get my head around these questions
Thank You
There is a reply for you on this very topic in the question you posted on this in the similar thread...it is in this same section
look to see whether the book I mentioned helps...I know I used it for my FDegree on Inclusion, Diversity and Equal opportunity and is a recent edition
Good luck
