    Default aarrrggghhhh!!!!!! First Aid courses!

I booked myself on a course using recommended people (CPF Early Years, Kent), only for them to cancel my place. Re-booked for July, all ok...and now they've cancelled THAT one too!!!! I emailed them and they've now told me that all courses are fully booked for the entire 2011!!!!!

So now I've got to find a reputable course provider so I can get myself covered asap - it's soooo annoying. Can anyone recommend any?

    Hels xx

I have just had to find an independent course after I realised that the one I was booked onto by my local coordinator started in half term!

I asked some local childminders for recommendations.

    It's costing me £65 rather than £30 but at least I won't be out-of-date

All funding for our First Aid courses has been withdrawn

Hopefully you will have more luck - try your development officer to see which courses they recommend

I think all funding for 1st aid has being with drawen - it normally costs around £90.00.

I have just got funding for first aid. I did St Johns, booked on line and they run them in Redhill surrey every two months.

The next one will be July as i did mine in June. If you dont mind travelling this far have a word with Twinkles i think she may be setting one up for minders quite soon .

    Good luck

contact your local red cross branch hon. I'm just doing mine with them (via the local adult education college) and it's £58. Also run over 4 x wed evenings rather than 2 x saturdays

How annoying, I hope you were able to get on a course. Training providers shouldn't cancel!!!

Pity you don't live closer. We've arranged one for Saturday and the following Saturday.
We arranged it ourselves as there wasn't space on the one we wanted to do.

Would it be worth organising one and advertising the spaces ?

I know people here have problems getting on one.

June and I have just done ours even though it wasn't due until October, but there wasn't going to be a course locally nearer the time!! Glad we have done it now incase we had booked on one later and then had it cancelled!
