on line training courses
Hi can anyone recommend any free on line training courses please? My LA gives us first aid and safe guarding, but I would like to keep my brain active and do a bit extra. Thank you.

Open university do some free courses - some aren't relevant, they have different levels of difficulty
childhood & youth studies - All our free courses - OpenLearn - Open University
education ones- All our free courses - OpenLearn - Open University
Psychology ones - All our free courses - OpenLearn - Open University
You can print a certificate of participation off when you complete
Pacey have some if you are a member and Childcare.co.uk have lots if you are a gold member.
Future learn do free courses but it costs a ridiculous amount for a certificate of participation - https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/upcoming - I did the Importance of Play course last year and it made me think a lot, it starts on the 19th again. only free if you don't want the CPD certificate. Have other topics if you just want to keep your brain active about interesting subjects.
I did this one in the Spring - they are registering interest in a future course. I really enjoyed it. Glynd?r University - CPD Rethinking Child Development
