    Default recommend a vacuum??

My old one is sucking less than a granny on her dentures.... soo what vacuum do you have and is it any good?? Would you have an upright or a cylinder one??

Obviously I'd love a dyson but I resent spending £200-300 on a hoover, (well, vacuum cleaner! lol)

We've just brought a bagless vax upright one. Was reduced to £99 in argos just as our old one died! Our old hoover was a vax and as old as me so I hope that this one lasts as long as that one did!! So far I really like it!

I've got a Henry. The best vacuum cleaner I've ever had, and I've had quite a few including a Dyson. Henry beats them all and cheers up a chore with his big smile.

My MIL has had so many Henrys in the 7 years I have known her. In about 2002-ish I spent about £250 on a Dyson animal, it has only just stop working now so I have again just bought another Dyson it was £339

Altough it is more expensive I would rather spend that and have a vaccum that last than spend money every year or so... I love Martin Lewis' saying "Buy cheap, buy twice" lol

we always had a Henry but when it died we replaced it with a Hoover cylinder - rubbish!!! so then we bought a Bissell upright which is very powerful but something has gone wrong with it and it is now soooo noisy, it honestly sounds like a pneumatic drill so when I get paid I am going to buy another Henry

    xxxx

I have a henry, its good but it doesnt lift the pile if you know what i mean.

but the best thing about them by far is the fact that the children love him and can easily use him, my 3 year olds best activity is getting henry out and hoovering! lol

i loved my old henry but we just got a new one after 9 years and they've changed the cord length. I used to be able to plug it in and hoover right through the house and upstairs without unplugging it. Now I can't

plus it has different sucking settings adn I don't like any of them as much as the old one size fits all setting

I have got a Henry which is great for laminate, but agree with Sweets it doesn't lift the pile on carpets/rugs so have also got an upright which I use for carpets etc.

I have got a hand held vacuum for getting the bits up after lunch and my 15 month old mindee absulutely loves it!! Finish lunch, hand vacuum to him, job's a good un

I got a Dyson about 18 months ago. Still like it. Before that had a succession of different make over the years. Liked my hoover aquamaster which could wash as well.

DS hated Henrys to the point of screaming and having nightmares cos of the face - never had one but there was one in a holiday house we stayed at. There is one in the house we stay at now but at 15 he is over his panics Also hated anything which looked like it had eyes - had to hide a fabric lampshade in another holiday house

No problems so far with dyson - a basic cylinder one when it was on offer
Happy to be back with the Greenies

Bought a VAx something or other in May last year and what a load of rubbish, have practically rebuilt the thing, have phoned up 3 times now and they keep sending me new parts.
