Default I have a job interview

I applied for 3 jobs last week and got a phonecall this morning for a interview this friday. I was a bit shocked to hear so quick.

I was thinking about my future, both my children are older now and I think it time to move from childminding into something new, i want to continue with children so applied for a couple of nursery jobs locally and one at the hospital.

I wasnt expecting to get anywhere with my applications so I still in shock and now im very nervious about it, its my first job interview in 10 years.

Wondering if anyone that worked in nurseries or have done has any advice, should I take any of my paperwork with me, certificates etc.

    Hi.

I went from minding to nursery work. Take all certificates, evidence of any planning you do, learning journal (if you can keep it confidential), evidence of relevent training and your OFSTED report (if you want to boast).

Sell yourself. You will have more knowledge than most nursery workers of the EYFS/partnership with parents etc.

Good luck. Hope all goes well.

I agree with Nanny, take as much as you can especially planning as nurseries don't always know what childminders do.
    love Sarah.

I agree and just remember you have been running your own "Nursery" single handed, so it will be like that on a bigger scale with more help And noisier

Getting closer to interview day and feeling quite sick

I think im going to be a nervous wreck.

Going to take my portfolio to show my policies, procedures and all my training and qualifications.

Might even take my risk assessments to really scare them
