    Default Giant cup cake

Just brought a giant cup cake mould to do for my daughters birthday cake.

Had one little test run and I think we put to much mix in as burnt a bit and not quite cooked in the middle.

Wondered if anyone has one and if you have the perfect receipe for it??

also decoration tips would be great

    thanks

I'll sort out my recipe and pop it on here. Mine worked to a degree and the cake was lovely although I didn't grease the mould enough and part of it.

Some brilliant decorating ideas but not sure about the receipes, big difference between some of them and I have the silicone one not the tin.

Use the liquid cake release stuff , I use the Wilton one, you get lovely defined shapes and quick and easy release.

Ive got the red silicone one - best tip is they do NOT cook at the same time - ie one will always be done before the other so you need to remove the one that is cooked and the other will take another 10+ mins depending on your oven.

I decorated mine with sugarpaste on the bottom and chocolate buttercream on the top in a big swirl I also torted it (cut it) into about 8 sections and as it was a chocolate cake DD wanted it with a chocolate and caramel filling

2nd giant cupcake now in oven, made a muffin mixture this time and only filled up 3/4 of the mould, also turned down the oven temperture to see if it cooks slower it wont burn.

Will let you know how it comes out??

Ive got to get this right by the 3rd September, dont want to be poisoning 20 10 and 11 year olds.
