    Default The Deep, Hull

Going on holiday in a few weeks to yorkshire and we were considering a visit to the deep.

Now I have read some reviews and some have said you are better going to scarborough sea life centre.

So wondering what you guys think the deep or the sealife centre?

only been to Birmingham Sealife Centre not Scarborough so cant comment on what Scarboroughs like. Been to the Deep quite a few times though (including one never to be forgotten occasion when me and a cm friend had 10 children between us!!!). We love it, especially the tunnel and the lift through the water. I guess its maybe less hands on than a Sealife centre is. Sorry I am being no help whatsoever am I??

Ummm - the Deep has stuff about the planets when you first go in that I dont think you have in the Sealife centres. And I could be wrong but I think the Deep is cheaper.

Hope you enjoy your holiday anyway!x

I took my boys to The Deep when they were younger and they loved it, so did we. Mind you they were probably 8 and 12 at the time

the kids love the sharks and they often have divers swimming in with them

i've never been to the deep, but i have been to the sealife centre in scarborough!

we love it! they have amazing sea dragons! otters, penguins & seals and lots to sea. a little touch pool, and after the 'ray' talk, you can feed them! there are usually 2 for 1 vouchers at visitor centres, or i bought our tickets online and they were quite a bit cheaper ( not sure, they might do a childminder discount! ) ( you do need to pay for the carpark though, can't remember how much. )

having been to the sealife centre we then go rockpooling in the rocks/headland or walk round to the beach.

been to Scarborough Sea life centre today with another CM and 10 kids,

We had a great time and the kids loved it. If you are with Morton Michel you can get a discount through their Childcare club.
