Default Inspirational quotes - what is yours?

Read this on one of my home edding friend's facebook status this morning and loved it:

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
    — Albert Einstein

'A man's reach should exceed his grasp or what's a heaven for?'

    Robert Browning.

It was given to me by a very lovely head teacher at my old school after I had done a teaching practice there.

I still have the paper somewhere and lots of happy memories

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow”. Anon

'There are worst things in life than a baby.'

Said to me when I found out I was pregnant at 21 by my boyfriend of 6 weeks. I was hysterical at the time but now DS is 7.5yrs and 'boyfriend' is now husband and we have two more children!

mine is the one under my signature. Like a few other quotes posted here, it means you are in charge of your destiny. OK, You can't stop happening what will happen but you can deal with it whichever way you choose and make things happen.
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got

Not really a quote but a final exam question was to write a 1000 word essay on:

    'What is Courage?'

    The student wrote:

    'This is.'

Apparently they did get an A mark

    "Fear knocked at the door,
    Faith answered,
    ....And no-one was there."

    Is another favourite of mine.

But I live my life by:
