She is quite sporty and usually invites boys and girls. We are trying to think of things if we have a garden party. Have just been looking at treasure hunt packages that look quit good. It's in a couple of weeks so have to get thinking! Thanks for your ideas.

try your local dance studio that puts on children's dance classes. My zumba studio does them.

for dd's birthday she had 15 friends, teacher played games with them, then taught them a dance routine to a song chosen by dd (but they also did themed ones - abba, fame etc) then they had a glitter makeover int urns whilst they ate their food, then parents came back and watched the girls do their routine.

    It was fab.

Also dd went to a karaoke party in a hall the other day. parents hired the karaoke guys and they ran the party xcept the food bit.

Balloon game: fill balloons with water, flour, glitter etc. Put a pin on top of a cap, number the balloons and number some cards. Kids pick a card and have to pop that balloon. Hilarious when you pop a water balloon then a flour one!

Chocolate game: place a large chilled block of chocolate on a tray with a knife and fork, hat, gloves and a dice. Kids sit in a circle, take turns to roll the dice, when you roll a 6 you put the hat and gloves on and begin to eat the chocolate with the knife and fork...all the time the others are continuing to try to roll a 6...as soon as someone does they take the the hat, gloves etc.Very good fun.

Pass the parcel, truth or dare style!(place a question and a dare in each layer) Nothing too embarassing but gets very giggly!

We did these games for dd1 11th.
    Come back David....

I remember doin the chocolate game as a kid

how about a sleep over party,, if girly you could take em to the pics first then do make up and then a midnight feast or if not all of the above without the make up but with scary stories instead.

how about an adventure weekend somwhere where they do climbing walls etc or paint balling or lazer shooting game thingy or go karting,, not very girly but this is what my daughter would prefer cause she not girly!

I think a sleepover is on the cards, have found a website where you can download stuff to "make your own movie". Looks quite good, also looking at a treasure hunt. Did look at laserquest but our one is closed due to refurbishment, closest one is Swindon which is too far for 2 15 minute games! Unfortunate as she liked that idea. A friend of her's is doing a cinema party the week after and then there's a bowling one after that! So far we have had the best weather on her birthday party day so a garden party with games is most likely. Thanks for everyone's ideas though, fab!
