Default Rubbish start to the new year.

Our 5 1/2 month old puppy ate a washing liquid tablet today at my dads house while we were out visiting him, what a blooming worry we have spent some of the evening at the emergency vets and are now waiting and watching at home. He has been given anti sickness and something to hopefully help with irritation to the lining of his stomach, and i have to sit up with him all night in case he is sick and aspirates!

I am so cross and upset with myself because i couldnt stop it and because when i saw what it was i panicked and instead of trying to bribe it off him, I tried to grab it!

So as well as a pretty big bill for treatment, i now have a sleepless night and loads of worry!

Seems reasonable in himself we havent taken him for a walk and he has only been fed chicken and rice, he hasnt drunk really, but there has been more liquid in his food than he would normally have as he is normally fed dry, he has an agitated sound in his throat but he hasnt been sick since last night.

No poo so far today, but hoping he will tomorrow or that will be something else to worry about!

My dog got really ill once and we couldn't figure out why. Turns out I had dropped a washing tablet (I get the kind that melt away leaving the gel??) and he had himself a little soapy snack.

Don't feel bad! You're good pet owners cos you're seeking treatment. He'll be alright.
Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?

All seems okay today, except a bit of a cough and a little scooting this evening, guess it is the irritant from pooing!

Thankfully it was just an irritant rather than a poison, lucky escape I think.
