Thread: Eastenders

    Default Eastenders

What do we think of the Eastenders story with Roni/baby taking Kats baby.

I think its a horrid portrayal of a cot death/bereaved mother. I think it will make people so suspicious of bereaved mothers

I think its a HORRID storyline for New Year.

Why WHY WHY can't these stupid script writers understand we want some cheer and that it doesn't have to be doom and gloom and shock all the time.

Of course cot death happens and it should be incorporated into story lines to raise awareness but give it a rest at festivity time.

I think its stupid to be honest

Its about time something nice and happy happened in the soaps

I think the Queen Vic should have a visit from a load of lovely childminders to get rid of the doom and gloom in that place

I also think it is a horrible storyline, and if they had to do a cot death it shouldn't have been ronnie, with everything she has gone through she needed a happy ending.!!

I agree, Ronnie has had a **** time as it is would be nice to have a few happy endings - suppose it doesn't pull the viewers in

On a different note (and I apologise if someone has posted about it ) did you see Kevin on Corrie moaning that he was 5 mins late picking Jack up and the childminder charged him an extra £5 - hope my parents were watching

Am so angry with them, I can not watch it. And in fact, I ahve not watched it since I heard what the storyline was going to be

Firstly, it should be about a bit of good cheer, not always doom and gloom

Secondly, why pick on Ronnie again!

Thirdly, I think it really is in bad taste and will make people very wary of bereaved mothers - and when my DD1 was stillborn, the best thing in the world for me, was that someone trusted me with their child, that they felt confident in my abilities to hold that child

Its the final straw for me and I really think I won't be going back to watch it again. Dh will be pleased, he has been moaning for years and can not understand why I still put up with it - I hate the way characters suddenly change, good characters get written out and the way that they handle a lot of sensitive stories in a very patronising manor

    Rant over

To be honest i don't really watch Eastenders much , its a very shouty programme, but i do dip in now and then , but this latest story line is awful and i won't be watching . I really feel for anyone who has gone through this in real life.

Soaps need to be light entertainment at this time of year , not all dark and gloomy .
