    Default What would you do?

If a local youth (bored out of his tiny mind) thinks it's fun to throw snowballs at your windows most of the evening?

I know who he is and where he lives, but his parents are out working and he should know better as he is almost 16yrs old.

Should I lie in wait for him and pelt him back? OR throw some snowballs at his window in the early hours of the morning?

We've tried ignoring but it eggs him on, been 3 hrs of it now
I blame the weather, it's too warm this evening 0c when last night was -6c

    What is your cure?

i ring the community warden to tell them, mainly as i live next to a row of bungalows and i'd hate to think they were doing it to them and terrifying the poor old biddies that live in them

We are in a tiny village of 20 houses and I've seen him before throwing snowballs are neighbours houses and one of them is a policewoman!
He is just bored, but why can't he just go and build a snowman and then destroy it, get it out of his system?

If he carries on over the next few days then it will be snowballs at dawn

If he is approachable (and you would need to use your judgement here) i would go out and ask him nicely not to pelt your windows anymore because its not big, clever or funny. tell him if he breaks the window you will be seeking reimbursment. also make it clear you will be letting his parents know and/or ringing the local community officer.

if you can speak to him ring the local community officer AND tell his parents tomorrow.

If he had stood under my gutter just now, he would have been buried in snow - it all slid off the roof!

I'd probably phone around the neighbours and corner him and pelt him with snowballs until he runs home to his mummy crying.

Actually I'd probably go and ask him to stop because I'm a rubbish shot!

get the hose pipe out and soak him - he will have to go home to change and in that time you can build your artilery of snowballs and then pelt him with them when he comes back!

id go for this one too

hopefully by the time hes turned to go home hes frozen solid (cartoon style) and it would give him plenty of time to realise he picked on the wrong house

That was my idea for the student protesters in London. Get the water cannons on them and then just stand back and let the weather do the rest
