Just been announced and it's going to be a public holiday

May Day Bank Holiday is on the Monday so it will be a 4 day weekend!!

What a cop out that date is in our school Easter holidays anyway they don't go back to school until the Tuedaday after the 1st May Bank Holiday

Oh yeah - I hadn't realised that!!

Poor teachers won't get an extra day off - that won't go down well!

My lot go back on the tues 26th hardly worth going back for 3 days then get 4 days off. I have had to check my part time contracts as I know I started putting in I wont work bank hols but luckily that will only mean I loose one days wage so not to bad.

Mine go back on Tues 26th too.

Not going to be earning much in April - 3 bank holidays in one month!
(plus I'm taking 5 days off)

Oh well, at least we'll get a nice long weekend! - now, where to go in the caravan?!!

I've just worked it out and round here the kids will be at school for a total of 9 days in April

Hardly seems worth it!
The two nice long weekends in a row will be nice though

ours go back 27th for 2 days

As soon as I saw it on the news I got the diary out to see how it would benefit me

I don't work on a Friday anyway and my children will still be on Easter hols, so it won't make any difference to me...shame

I don't work Fridays either

Have our family hols then kids back to school on 26th so a short week for them

As I only work term time I told my new parents I was not gonna charge for bank hols (as all but one fall in school holidays anyway). Typically I have both sets on a Friday.
