    Default Soaked!

Is the weather everywhere as wet as it is here? We have just got soaked collecting one child from school

The heating is on, the milk warming for hot chocolate all round and we are going to make Welsh Cakes to have hot with butter on. Lots of fruit as well.

I guess the gardens need the rain it did get very dry here during April to Aug we had no rain at all and the grass was brown ans crispy dry. Its lush and green now.

It's dreadful here today & seems to have rained non-stop.

Luckily it's my day off & DS collected DD from school so I didn't have to venture out

Torrential here! No mindees today but I went a bit earlier to pick up a paper, got stuck in a traffic jam caused by a steam tractor (don't ask) and then the heavens opened and the school car park turned into a lake.

My kids now have soaking wet feet and so do I and it was only a 50yd walk
Why can't it ONLY rain at night

It's pouring here, I've just stood at the bus stop waiting for the school children and got soaked and to top it all one of my ex mums sat in her car just down the road waiting for her child to get off the same bus

I didnt do the school run, hubby picked up our DS and he was soaked and had to go back to work, only has one pair of work trousers, so I had to ring his boss to see if it was ok if he went back in civvies.

I have two independant arrival mindies and they arrived soaked, the older one was supposed to leave me independantly to go swimming, but now has no coat and only wearing shorts, so text his mum to say he will wait here until she collects and drops him off, he may be a bit late, but better he arrives dry and a bit late

Hasn't stopped raining here. Soooo pleased not to have any mindees today- usually do a school run but he is off today. My brother called earlier to tell me not to go out in the car because the whole town is grid-locked and has been for hours- broken down lorry, car accident, and now speculation of a gas leak too. Staying in the warm is fine by me!

M4? My OH has been calling me for traffic updates all day thanks to that, he had to take a massive diversion to get from Devizes to Reading direction. Where in Wilts are you?

As someone told me at school I look like a "drowned rat" we had school discos so have had to go back 3x to school luckily in the car today so not too bad but have to park a couple of minutes away from school and my hair is still soaked. My DD had swimming lessons with school they had to walk to the baths, got soaked, then swam, and walked back with wet hair! then get soaked coming home and it still hadn't properly dried when she went out to her disco and got soaked again!

Part of the school playground has turned into a lake. Mum collects mindee at school on a friday , Im there too to get ds. Mindee went running off completely ignoring mum and fell in , face first. He was soaked to the skin. So so glad he was with mum not me!! Did feel sorry for him though , he was sobbing...maybe he will listen next time. Or maybe not!

That is strange because I have been moaning about my hair

I have always had straight horrible hair even straighter when its wet

But for the last 6 months when its wet its started to go curly - how weird
