    Unhappy My poor boys

My poor boys just came home after setting off for school - only been gone 5 minutes. They looked like the world had ended.
They just found my little boys kitten, dead by the side of the road.
We were so close to getting away from this awful road - 19 more days then we would have moved somewhere so much safer.
My boys are very sensitive 13 year olds, I don't know how much this will affect them, but I am thinking that it will knock them down for quite a while. They were so upset, and ended up even worse because as they were telling me their 4 year old brother heard them so he knows now too.
I figured they would be better off at school with their friends today than home with me bawling along with my little boy, but they had to walk back past the kitty to get there.
I feel even worse because it was my two precious kids who found the kitty more than losing the kitty.

Oh how awful. poor bairns. Will you go and move kitty before they get home?
C once went out to his rabbit to find it had died and he was really upset - he was an incredibly sensitive 10 year old. He was fine in a couple of days though.

Doesn't matter what age they are, it's still upsetting.

One of my CM friends found a cat once, just as I walked by. She had moved it to the edge of the road as people were driving past it. When I saw it, I knew it was one of my mindees cats who lived along the road. I phoned mum and she came to collect her. We all cried but at least the children were at school and did not see. Mum was distraught enough

Thank you. It is comforting to know someone else understands. I called DH at work and he went round and moved her, I couldn't do it because my littlest one is still a preschooler and home with me.

Poor boys, my sons were 9 and 12 when our kitty was hit by a car. They never saw it but were upset enough. Hugs to you all.
