Default iRobot vacuum cleaner - thanks to member!

I cannot find the original post about housework in which one of the members said she used a Roomba robot vacuum cleaner and how good it was.

Just wanted to say thank you to her. Mine came yesterday and it's bliss just pressing a button after all the mindees have gone home for the day. It's on again now and is busily cleaning the room ready for the day whilst I visit the forum!! Very expensive but worth it weight in gold as it gives me twenty minutes R&R time that I would otherwise not have, so huge thank you's to the member who recommended it! Mwah!

You are right when you said they were expensive, how does this price compare?

    ROOMBOT CLEANER

Pauline doesn't need one of those, she has me , I always do the hoovering, I even chose the vacuum cleaner when we needed a new one. I guess that's what assistants are for.

It was me who posted about my Roomba - my DH bought it for me, he'll be dead chuffed that everyone else wants one too!!

It has a little rotating brush that does the edges, it's great as a daily (twice daily in my case) cleaner. I set the timer for 10a.m. while I'm out with the children so it's all nice and tidy for when we get back (it even does under the dining table and chairs!) and again after I finish work. My standard vacum comes out once every 6 - 8 weeks before I steam clean

I have a golden lab, a long haired cat and a short haired cat and it seems to cope well. It has these long brush things that go into corners too. I don't know how it does it but it can even find its way under my pram and clean all around that! It even cleans up the woodshavings and hay from the baby bunnies cage!

I have the 555 model so slightly different from the one in Graham's link and also slightly more expensive but not really any more than a dyson for example. I bought it from lakeland as they have a fab no quibble guarantee (even if you don't like something!)
