    Default Bumped head

never blinking rains but pours does it!

james has just tumbled of the high climbing frame ladder approx 5.5ft and landed on his head (around the crown area).
We have kept it iced for about 20 minutes now and there is no bump. he has been complaining of feeling sick each time he moves but he has just dropped of sleep (it is past his bedtime mind).

Going to keep an eye on him, wake him in an hour or so and keep a close look on him throughout the night. funny how you forget your FA training when its one of yours!

He is zonked out on the sofa. just woken him to put his PJ's on and he woke easily enough - grumpy - but ok. complained I was giving him a headache!!!

do you know in the 6 years we have had this, this is the first time ever one of them - or any child has fallen off it. Eldest broke his arm falling of the toddler slide about a foot high - he was 10!!! Even during a rather boozy bbq a few years back - brian and his mate got up the climbing frame with the coupe car and were pushing each other down it - in the car!!!

Thinking of you Pip! If he is com[plaining of nausea - I would take him to A & E (in the morning now) to be on the safe side. x

As you say, remember your first aid training.
Do hope you all had a quiet night!

Ahhhh ouch I hope he is OK now - poor love - I don't know about forgetting your first aid with your own - I find I get into a huge panic with my mindees when I am in charge but not with other peoples mindees, friends children or with children who I taught - I am even fine if I'm out and mindees are there with their parents or parents ring for advice.

Young children are remarkable aren't they if that was an older child, teen or adult they would be moaning non stop - the older they are the more they would moan.

He is fine full of the joys of spring! His head must be really hard thats all i can say. I suppose the ground is still quite soft!

He is sat troughing his breakfast, after moaning at me that I kept waking him up last night - he got really cross at 4.30.

There is a tiny bump - not sure if thats good or not, no headache, says he feel a bit sick but I am not sure if thats just a bit of acting (he is eating toast and choccie spread - ugh).

I, on the other hand feel like a zombie!
