    Default Grand National

Will any of you be having a flutter on the horses this Saturday?

I won last year backed 3 horses and they come 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

I'm hoping for the same this time

We do it every year but between family ever since I was little we put our beds in 10p each way with my grandad now the state goes up but the children still do it.

We are off to see Peppa Pig at 1pm, hope we are back in time

I won 3rd place I think it was last year - put £2 on but couldn't find my ticket so never got my winnings.

I don't usually bet and my mum always gives me a blow by blow account of how many horses were hurt etc - I don't know why but she always has with that particular race.

for the first time ever we have all had a bet
i hate gambling as my grandfather lost his home to the bookies but i thought i'#d let the children choose one horse each and see what happens

i have don't push it ( for obvious reasons)
hubby has comply or die ( he wrote the national statement of compliance for information governance so thought it was appropriate)
    and the kids have
    niche market
    beat the boys
    and
    vic venturi

    fingers crossed for us please

I got about £130 by picking the winner last year, almost to the penny paid for the England shirts I had bought that morning for dh, ds and dd!

The one my hubby bet on was the one that was playing up at the start and ended up staying at the starting line

I dont bet on it, I sat there cringing every time a jockey or horse fell

That horse made me laugh, it was raring to go then when it could it refused!!

I agree about the cringing, some looked like they could have been really hurt at the horses trampled them.

I looked through my dad's paper yesterday and chose Don't Push It and Beat the Boys - obvious really with 4 sons Unfortunately although my dad told me yesterday to put some money on it, I didn't bother
No doubt he will remind me of that when I see him later
