Just looked at your picture{avatar?** although it's not very clear. Don't know how old you are,but I was told that you are more likely to have gallstones if you are in your 40's and blonde!
Have no idea if that's you 'cos I can't really see but if it isn't, don't be offended.

Doctor thought it could be gallstones because of my rapid weight loss still got a few weeks to wait for the scan though

    Whoops, sorry Emma.
Really feel for you, the fear of that pain coming back is terrifying in itself isn't it? I'd be surprised if was heart probs and even more surprised if it was a panic attack! Bloomin' cheek, these doctors have!
From what you described , I think you said that it went as suddenly as it came, I'm convinced it's gallstones{says she sounding like she's an expert**
    Keep us posted.

    No need to be sorry

the heart thingy I am not sure what that was all about but not had it since, the ECG was just to be on the safe side, but they lost theresults and I am not doing it again

The gallstone/pain problem has only been since I lost all the weight, I have never in all my life experianced pain like it (not had babies yet ) at first I argued with the doctor that it was indigestion as my friend she has very bad indigestion and gets it in her back etc so put it down to that and the doctor said it was gallstones, when I went back to him last week he said it wasnt gallstones because I have no stomach pain/tenderness after the pain attack and then said it was muscular but would send me for a scan to confirm

I just want it sorted cos its too painful

Gosh Emma, why they making you sweat?
Just came on here to find out if you had results.
Had my op on Tuesday. Feel a little bit like I've been run over by a steamroller but sooooo glad it's out.
While I was in hospital, there were two other women admitted in the middle of the night. They were both crouched over with agonised looks on their faces. Pretty obviously gallstones. No pain like it. not even childbirth can come close to my experiences.
But on the pos side, I am feeling alot better and live to tell the tale!!!
    Hope you get sorted soon.

Did you have it done at Queen's? I had an MRI in Burton, took them nearly 2 months to look at the results and decide they found something, sent me to Nottingham for an MRI on a specialist machine in November and still haven't got the results!

Good luck! They are so useless, they are just guessing my results now as the MRI results are missing and the lumbar puncture wasn't done right, going private next time!

Can we chase them ourselves through the hospital or is it only the doctors that can?
