    Default Good morning Monday

    Happy Monday everyone!

Anyone else counting down the days until they break up for Christmas? Roll on Thursday at 4pm

The children all seem quite tired this morning so I'm glad I've got an easy week planned for them. All the main 'take home' crafts are finished so there's not the usual last minute dash to get things done

This morning we've been doing jigsaws and reading Christmas books. The weather's quite mild, so once the children have finished their snacks we're going out into the garden. I've got a packet of fake snow powder so we're going to have a go at mixing that up. As long as everyone's happy we'll stop out till lunchtime. It depends how the temperamental toddler holds up! This is the one who can't wait to go outside, but cries to come back in after the slightest stumble

Have good days everyone. Keep going - the end of term is in sight

Morning. We've had a busy morning. We've painted the trunk of a tree that we made last week and then we painted a 3D wooden present decoration that I had forgotten I had. Mindee has been decorating two little trees with baubles that I pushed pipe cleaners through so that it was easier for him to manipulate and hang. It has kept him entertained for ages .I set up a 'pinterest worthy' Christmas scene with happyland Christmas toys and fairy lights etc. I would love to say that I always set up pinterest worthy activities - but I don't. I'm just not organised enough. He does love it when I do though. We've also had a Christmas gingerbread man story book and props out and so hopefully we're going to make some gingerbread men shortly. Or maybe we'll leave it until tomorrow as I'm a bit tired now! We've also done our last zoom rhyme time as well as lots of little activities. Some days are just like that aren't they - you seem to fit loads in and then other days it seems like you have hardly done anything.

I've never used fake snow mouse - is it as good as it sounds? Do you need lots of it? I've got a tiny packet that I was saving for a stocking filler for DD, but I'm thinking I should have got more.

Good afternoon .......some of mine are a little bit tired today they often are after the weekend ! This morning we have explored some coloured chickpeas in the sensory tray, I made a little Christmas small world set up and sprinkled some cornflour over it to look snowy. I thought the children would love it but no they were more interested in having a tea party !! We have been out in the garden but everywhere is still so wet after awful weather overnight.

I still have a week and half to go before I finish (23rd)

Me too, Maza! .. exactly what would happen here!

I'm planning a gentle week ... couple of days off rain forecast though, so not sure quite what we'll do then.

I've got this week and then Tuesday next week!

I've had a lovely day .. met a friend for a distanced coffee outside this morning .... we ended up having lunch ! I've done nothing

Stay safe, warm and dry everyone.
