    Default Good morning Wednesday

Welcome to a wet and windy Wednesday!

I woke up with a awful headache this morning so we're having a quiet start to the day. I did have the musical instruments set out, but have packed them away for now. Every clang on the triangle sent a pain through my eye. I've also packed away the singing santa. Not because it's making my headache worse, but purely because it was driving me mad

Bake Off final...did we all get to watch it? DD had zoom dance classes until 9.30pm so I had to watch it later. I avoided all social media until I'd seen it. I'll start a separate Bake Off thread so anyone who hasn't seen it yet can avoid spoilers

How's everyone's Christmas shopping going? After an early start I seem to have stalled. I've got gift vouchers to send away to family, but haven't got far with close family presents. My children are all grown up so we have talked about not bothering so much with presents this year. That seems like a good idea to me

Have good days, whatever you've got planned.

Very wet here too. We haven't been out and I am suffering. I do need my daily walk. It's decent weather now but mindee is off to bed shortly.

We actually had a really nice play with the playdough this morning and it held his interest for much longer than usual (usually a few seconds).

Before mindee arrived I set up a little picnic mat and teddies and the tea set. The dog came in and rolled all over the mat set up and then munched the pasta that I had put in the toy kitchen area. So he was banned from the playroom before it was even 8.30am.

Business is so quiet here at the moment. I haven't had any interest for a few weeks. I was hoping to have someone new by the new year as historically I always had lots of inquiries for that time of year.

It's DD's 12th birthday on Sunday and I am desperately trying to think of ways to make it special for her.

We went out over to the local playing field this morning to burn off some energy then we have had the play dough out which the children play with for ages.

I have been doing really well with the Christmas shopping as have got quite a few sorted now the others I know what I am getting I just need to actually order them. I have missed looking around the shops as I love the whole atmosphere of Christmas shopping. As a family we now have to decide what we are going to do re the whole Christmas bubble thing.

Maza I know what you mean about your daily walk, I always feel much better if I have been out for a morning walk. I try and go out with the dog before the children all arrive but sometimes DH will take him and I feel all out of sorts if I haven't been. We have to do the school run but it's not the same.

    Evening! Where did today go?

Been busy, but not done much. I did want to go for a walk this morning, but it was very damp, cold and drizzly so we didn't! Hope your headache improved Mouse.

I caught bits of bake off ....

Christmas... well .... apart from a few more bits for DS ( if I have any inspiration) and some vouchers to still buy, I 'think' I'm done! Never been this organised!

Oh hope you feel better soon Fussy.

It's a great feeling when the first aid is done for another three years! I didn't realise we had the option of doing both sessions online.

Maza it was over 4 night so 6 hours practical 6 hours online.

Should have been 12 hours face to face but they adapted because of the lockdown. Out of the 6 who were booked on only 3 wanted to attend.

I just wanted it done and dusted

Only schoolies here today so I’ve spent the day putting up decorations. Just the garlands in the front garden to do tomorrow and the tree on Sunday.
