    Default Good morning Friday

It’s my day off, although I have got a prospective parent coming for a visit this morning. It’s going to be too cold to sit outside so we’re going to have a quick meeting indoors. I’ve told the parent that they’ll only be able to stay for a short visit, that I will only have limited toys out and we’ll stay in one room. I’ve already messaged them this morning to check they have no COVID symptoms and to remind them they’ll need to wash their hands when they arrive and wear a mask while they’re here.

Do any of you ask parents to wear masks when they drop off or collect the children? I do doorstep hand overs but parents still like to stand and chat. They do stand back from the door but I’m wondering whether to tell them to wear masks.

I hope you all have good days. Keep going...the weekend is in sight

Only had the morning school run to do today.

So my plan is to ahead for the weekend. Dd has her first game of competitive football tomorrow. Im not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not 🤣🤣🤣 the lazy relaxed weekends are quite nice.

I'm not wearing a mask at the door if the simple reason if I don't get contacted by track and trace the mask won't stop the 14 days isolation. So didn't no point.

Have a good day everyone x

    Afternoon!

Well ... the forecast was light drizzle .... so we went out for a walk and stuck feed ... it was a touch wet to put it mildly! Thank goodness for the AGA! .... 3 waterproof suits and my coat all drying!

It's now blowing a hooley and I'm not looking forward to afternoon school run! I have one little one who ( despite parental assurance that it doesn't happen ) thinks that all coming up 3, he should be in pushchair and objects to walking! As I have 2 non walkers, he IS walking and is more than capable!

Not much happening this weekend. We are meant to be having a visit from someone to start us on the 12mth ONS study into Covid .. requiring blood tests etc .... it's so long since I agreed that I can't remember what happens! They tried to come and see us when we were away, and then it's taken another few weeks to get another visit booked! Apparently I'll get a call today to confirm tomorrow's appt ... but nothing yet!

No I don’t ask parents to wear masks outside when they collect. They stand back outside my front door.

I don't ask parents to wear a mask at collection.

I had my little one for most of the day today. He was a bit wobbly on and off today and I had to really put on a performance to keep him distracted from missing mummy - you know, when you are over exaggerating your enthusiasm about each toy etc. He didn't eat a thing all day again and cried a lot at naptime, but I persisted and eventually got him to sleep in his travel cot. I'm cream crackered. I've got so many logistical issues to iron out before my routing runs smoothly.

I remember when I started minding the first time round, I was shocked at how physically exhausted I was a the end of the day. There is so much lifting involved and bending over (patting his back in the travel cot). My back is hurting now. Then I cooked dinner once he was gone and it wasn't very nice and to top it all I have touched my face after chopping a chilli and it is hurting.

No plans for the weekend. We'll see what the weather is like. x
