    Default Good morning Wednesday

I've got a busy day today so have just popped on for a minute while I'm online printing off some resources.

The sun is shining so we've been in the garden most of the morning. It's a bit breezy, but we've been blowing bubbles so a bit of wind is good for helping them fly around!

This afternoon I've got my first after school child starting. I don't normally have school children, but he's an ex-mindee and his after-school club has been cancelled. I'm not really set up for older children but he'll be here for less than an hour so I'm sure I can find something to keep him amused. He'll only be coming until the school can do it's after-school club again but we don't know when that might be.

I hope you're all having good days. Hopefully the sun is shining for you

We have squeezed lot in to our morning Yoga/local walk and made our own pizza for lunch, its has gone very dark here looks like rain!

I currently don't have any resources specifically for the older ones, yesterday they played out in the garden then had a light tea then it was home time. I have siblings that use to use the school's after school club but have come back to me as it's not running at the moment.

I have slept better the last two nights, not sure if its because I have been exhausted by the end of the day with now doing school runs and I am not used to it

    Afternoon!

My new baby started today ... but it was my nearly 3 Yr old who screamed for first 2hrs! ... she's been coming 2 yrs! All going well ... we've been to the park, played inside and outside and made lots of mess!

The sun is shining and the wind is blowing, and I've dried 2 loads of washing already!

My schoolies come back in an hour or so. Eek!

Only for hour tops, so we'll just chat and catch up and have a snack.... usually we have a craft activity or just a selection of paper/ pens/ glue etc. I do have a wooden marble run that the schoolies love as well as knex and some games/ puzzles. I was thinking about winding down my schoolies, but can't afford to at the moment! I usually only have 2 or 3 after school though.

The fencers are just adding the finishing touches to the fence. I can't wait for our dog to have his garden back.

This morning I have been on a local safeguarding network meeting online. It was interesting but not particularly useful, other than it helped me put faces to names in this local authority. I knew who everyone was in my last local authority and so it's a bit daunting getting familiar with a new system and people. I'm doing an early years network meeting tonight too.

I've emailed a couple of policies to my new parent ready for next week and was supposed to be putting together some other bits and pieces for them, but it's almost time to collect DD, and then my evening just goes. She had started walking home, but she has got blisters because of her new shoes, so we are collecting her for the next couple of days, as it's quite a walk. One of the girls who she walks with is off today. Her mum texted me to say she has a fever and so is having to get tested. The school where I worked up until last year has had to close year 2 and year 4 for a couple of weeks because of three confirmed cases.

Anyway, I'm currently using DD's crafting room as my office, so I had better tidy up quickly and destroy any evidence of me ever having been here.

Only schoolies today. So I had the hours in between to myself. Did a big online shop then did my tax return at last! Pottered in the garden in the afternoon as the weather is still so warm and sunny. Same again for the next 2 days too.

Well done on your tax return Sylvia. Doing that is one of the things I hate most in life.

Me too! Despite however long for lockdown when I only worked 2/3 days a week, 2 weeks off with my poorly eye, I STILL haven't done it!
