Good afternoon Monday
DH and I have had the day off today and had planned to go out.
For some reason though I got up this morning and decided we needed a skip and to get the sheds cleared! We can't get a skip until the end of the week, but I've been sorting out stuff to go in it. DH and I have had a few disagreements over what we should keep and what we should chuck. I'm ruthless, he's a hoarder. I told him to let me sort it myself, but he's been hovering, making sure I don't get rid of anything we might need one day. It may have taken a few rude words, but I think I've managed to convince him that the broken mop will never be of any use again
It was hot, sweaty, dusty work and I now feel really grimey. I'm having a cold drink then I'm going to jump in the shower and freshen up. Then there's still time to put my feet up and read my book before I fall asleep in front of the TV this evening
I hope you've all had good days

We went for a stunning walk this morning at Stiperstones - a lovely area of natural beauty about half an hours drive from us. It was just what we all needed. Then DD and I staged a couple of photos for a facebook page that I probably will set up - thanks for the tip Mouse and loocyloo. Then we took the dog to the vets for a weigh in. He's 9.9kgs now - DH was glad because once he's over 10kgs his medicine is more expensive. He hates the car, so I said I would walk him back home. He got exhausted half way and lay down on a grass verge, so I had to carry him the rest of the way. I think being at the vets and the journey there in the car had made him more tired than usual, bless him.
DH wanted to try the 'eat out to help out' option for dinner tonight, but I don't want to leave the dog behind twice in one day (we didn't take him out on our big walk today because he wouldn't have coped). We are going to have pizzas at home instead - nice and easy.

Had a lovely day at the zoo with my family. We watched as 3 baby elephants were climbing all over each other on a huge sand pile. They were so funny to watch. The grandchildren lived it too. It was like watched children play fight together. Got nearly back home at 5 when the heavens opened and it rained so heavily we had to pull over on the motorway for a while. Apparently it had been wet all day at home so we were lucky we decided to go out for the day

AWWWW Sylvia, that sounds like sooooo much fun! I love elephants, and wish we had some in a zoo near us!
We are due the deluge tomorrow just been trying to plan a zillion and one activities, as it sounds as if it is just going to be too wet to go outside! ... minimum 16mm in the morning and about 8 in the afternoon! ALTHOUGH .... its going to be warm in the afternoon as well, so maybe we'll just go out and splash in some puddles !!!
