    Default Evening all!

Have we all had a good Saturday?

I've had a busy day pottering around, but I'm sitting down now with my feet up and a glass of something cold - diet coke with ice

It's been so much cooler today and I've been a lot more productive now that I can move away from the fan without melting.

DH and I had a nice wander into town late this afternoon. It was incredibly quiet for a Saturday and I do wonder how many of the shops will still be there by Christmas. We've already had a few close down or not open up again after lockdown. I'm not a fan of shopping in town, but it is a shame to see it so quiet.

Tomorrow we're off to see one our son's for lunch. His girlfriend is vegetarian but will cook meat when we go round. I always tell her we're more than happy to eat the same as her, but DS says don't say anything, it's his one chance to have a proper roast

I hope you're all having good weekends.

    Morning!

We did a family trip yesterday to buy school shoes and uniform bits for DD ( last ever! ) and then obligatory visit to primark !!! Plus a big food shop. It was my first 'outing' since my op and I was so tired when we got home! But actually it was my legs that ached ... 12 days of basically lying down, I think my legs have forgotten how they work !!!

Woken up this morning and my gas bubble, which was getting smaller and smaller yesterday, seems to have gone! Eye still a little blurry, but i think that's due to constant eye drops!

Going to try going for walk today ( avoiding rain if I can! ) as I need to get my legs back to working!!!! I rarely sit down when I'm working and can't be doing with aching legs!

Have a good lunch Mouse and a good day everyone else xx

Mouse...You mentioned the C word!!! Were you Christmas shopping in town?

DH got home from London on Saturday (he's been working there for three weeks decorating our old flat because our old tenants have moved out and new ones have now moved in). So last night we caught up on a few episodes of Corrie - I hadn't been watching them as we always watch it together - I think it's the only thing we do watch together. Oooooh, it's good at the moment with Geoff's ex turning up! We also keep laughing at the social distancing and Sally's rubber gloves!
So that was a nice chilled evening.

DD has decided to have a clear out in her room and has filled up two boxes of clothes and nic nacs/craft stuff which I will have to go through and see what I want to keep, and then find somewhere to store it in my room! The clothes will be bagged up to give to my nieces, but goodness knows when I'll get to see them.

I wanted to pop into town today but it has been pouring down, so I didn't bother. I need to get some over the counter acne treatment for poor DD. I want to see if we can clear it up before she starts secondary school. I don't think it's quite bad enough to see a GP.

I'm so sleepy today for some reason. Wish someone would put me down for an afternoon nap.

Hi everyone, I have had a really relaxed weekend for a change, haircut yesterday morning then after a quick tidy round I played scrabble with DS2 followed by watching a bit of Netflix then today we had a lovely brunch, sat out in the garden for a while and I am now doing some cross stitch whilst waiting for dinner to cook. The weather has been a bit cloudy but still warm but having said that it has gone very dark outside so maybe the rain is on its way !

This week starts the countdown to our long awaited week away

I didn't go with the intention of Christmas shopping, but I did actually buy a couple of little bits in TKMaxx that I'm putting away for my grandson for Christmas.

I was saying to DH that we ought to start picking up bits and bobs now because I won't want to go shopping in December. The queuing is bad enough now so it'll be awful by then.

As soon as the Christmas sweets and chocolates are in the shops I'm going to buy them...probably from 1st September

It’s been muggy here all weekend but also had heavy rain both days which the garden really appreciated. But I feel lost after so many sunny days that I can’t settled to do things. I did some weeding and moved a couple of plants today as the Earth was so soft and easy to dig in. Just hope it doesn’t rain too much next week as I have children 4 days but then I’m off for a week
