    Default Good morning Wednesday

    Good morning everyone.

The weather is grim today and it’s still very dark indoors so I’ve set out the dark den and all the light up toys. We might as well make the most of the gloom

What’s everyone watching on TV at the moment? Have you found anything to replace the Great British Sewing Bee? I’ve been watching reruns of Portrait Artist of the Year and The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross. I could really do with a good drama to watch but I either seem to find them when they’re already part way through, or I watch the first episode and miss the rest! I could probably do with planning my viewing a bit better!

Have good days everyone. If you find a bit of sunshine where you are, send it this way

Last night I started watching 'The Secrets She Keeps' on BBCiPlayer. It's an Australian drama (six episodes I think) based on a true story. I love it so far!

    Afternoon!

We've been for a walk through the woods and now minded child asleep.

I was looking online for Gruffalo Story props, as although I've got them all as soft toys/ finger puppets, I wanted something that could go on the mud, sand etc! I found people selling 'story stones' with gruffalo pictures on, and on closer look ... they looked like pictures just stuck in stones and varnished ... so i found some stones, printed out a few pictures and have stuck them on ... i may varnish them later and I need to find a big stone for the gruffalo himself, but I'm really pleased and saved myself about £15!!!

I can't find anything to watch on TV! Other than repair shop. DH has been watching ' the luminaries ' or something similar , set in New Zealand. He likes it, but I'm not fussed!

Stay safe and dry all x

Hi the weather has been pretty wet here too but we have been outside to explore where all the rain water has collected in the pots and pans. Two have gone home now so just the one for the afternoon.

I am not really watching anything at the moment, there are a few things on Netflix I dip in and out of but Dh is currently on his 3 weeks home from work (offshore worker ) so he normally gets to the tv first tbh he seems to be watching it most of the day I don't seem to have time to just sit and watch tv as there is always something else to be done.

Maza I am hoping to watch"The secrets she keeps' as I saw it advertised but it's something that I will have to watch alone as it doesn't interest the rest of the family.

Yes Pixie Dust - I'm watching it alone too, lol. DH and I take it in turns to choose what we watch and we very rarely find something that we both love. I usually just browse on my laptop when he has picked something and vice versa. The worst is when I suggest something and then he likes it and I don't. Flipping Game of Thrones springs to mind. Typically there were about a million episodes and I couldn't moan because I had suggested it in the first place.

The other good drama was Normal People (we actually both liked that one). It's a bit rude, so not one to watch with the children!

I'm also still working my way through Call the Midwife. I had only really seen the odd episode and always enjoyed it. So, I started watching it from the beginning and am nearly at the end of series 6. I DEFINITELY have to watch that on my own!

I saw that one channel is also replaying Broadchurch. If you didn't watch that first time round Mouse it's worth a watch. The first one was my favourite. Both DH and I loved that one.

I have had an exciting day - oh wait maybe not.

I tidied the children's rooms and still have washing to do.

We did homeschooling which actually went well we focused on science and managed to complete all the work.

The girls planted their succulents hopefully the weather will improve as its been raining most of the day so we can start a eildlife area tomorrow

Fussy, have your kids had zoom lessons or anything?

DH and DD are currently watching The Hunger Games. I actually find the concept/story line incredibly disturbing and it really makes me feel sick. Most of the children in DD's class have read it and so DD was curious and read it none stop over a few days (free on the internet). DD and DH just see it as a movie/book which is no more violent than, say, Harry Potter, but I just don't like it.

No its been on teams. They do live science lessons but thats it.

    English is on Oak academy
    Maths is hegarty maths
    Foreign language is on quizlet

Everything else seems to be PowerPoint. Ds struggles/dislikes anything writing based. His handwriting is horrendous. We have taken to writing his notes for him so it illegible and doesn't take an hour for a paragraph and then he types it out.

Awww, powerpoint can be such a dry way to learn. Hopefully, come September he can be a bit more motivated if he is back in school.

I read about that recently but hadn't realise it had started. When I read it I remembered the case it's based on. I'll look for it on iPlayer

I saw Broadchurch was being rerun. I really enjoyed that the first time round. DH and I are enjoying watching reruns of Vera. There's not a lot we both watch together, but that's one we do like.
