    Default Good morning Thursday

It’s going to be another hot day, so that means more water play! There can’t be many jobs where you can cool off in a heatwave by spending all day with your feet in a paddling pool

I’ve only got one child here today and he loves being outside. He’s happiest when he’s left to explore so I’ve hidden some of his favourite animal figures round the garden for him to find. It’s such an easy activity to set up but it keeps him occupied for ages

Did everyone manage to catch Sewing Bee last night? I won’t give any spoilers in case anyone’s not seen it yet! It’s the only programme I’ve been watching regularly so I’m going to have to find something else to get into. I was excited to come across Portrait Artist of the Year when I was flicking channels until I realised it was an old series that I’d already seen!

Have good days everyone. Stay safe and stay cool

Morning all! My little one arrived and asked to go to bed! Mum said he'd been up since 5ish so I let him! Then another mum rang and said he little one has been been up since 5ish and would i like her ... i said i would ... they haven't seen each other for 4 mths, so they'll have fun!
I've got lots of water play out as well.
    Don't forget the suncream!

Loved sewing bee... it has been pretty much the only thing I've watched lately ( and repair shop! ). I was happy with the result.

    Stay safe xxx

I almost didn't log on today because I didn't want to see the result of sewing bee. We watched last weeks episode last night, not sure why we are so behind- it's not as if we are going out socialising each night!

Last night when I took the dog into the garden for his 11pm toilet session, I managed to stand in some poo. I ALWAYS take off my shoes when I enter the house, but of course last night I didn't, for the first time in years. I have no idea why I kept them on. How typical is that! Fortunately I didn't go on any carpets, just through the kitchen and hallway to the downstairs loo. I cleaned it up last night but left my shoe outside for this morning. So, I spent the whole morning cleaning the floors again, cleaning two rugs just incase and cleaning my flipping shoe, using a cocktail stick to get in between all the grips. Sorry if you're eating lunch.

Waaaaaay too hot here. The pollen levels don't seem to be as bad today though - DH has been really suffering the last couple of days. I've never seen him so badly affected.

Oh poor you Maza .cocktail stick 🤢 having said that I’ve used a wooden skewer before obviously throwing it away afterwards!
we are lucky our dog doesn’t mess in the garden ( I hastily add I clear up when out and about) never has. But he has 3 minimum walks a day sometimes 4 . Taken out at 6 am for first walk. He does panic though if he needs the loo because he doesn’t want to go in the garden.

so hot here today but luckily Im not working. Only doing 3 days at the moment although another mum has asked if can take her DD for a walk on Thursdays as she's getting really bored now. Delivered a birthday card to a mindee who will be leaving me at the end of term for secondary school. then Ive been hiding indoors in my cool lounge as its far too hot for me. Did my pilates session online with my pilates teacher and now need a cool drink and a sit down. Forecast isn't showing thunderstorm here tomorrow now so hoping for another nice day. Have fun everyone and stay safe

How lovely you can do at least 3 walks a day when working ....do you take the children with you as part of your normal daily routine ? We currently take our pup out on 2 short walks a day as he is only four and half months old. I have struggled a bit with my morning routine making sure I am up dog walked etc before work, my problem is I don't function very well until I have had that first cuppa in the morning

No I do a 6 am long walk to the fields so he has had a good run before the day gets busy from 8 am (sometimes the children turn up a tad earlier) . Children and I usually go out for a 10 min+ walk during the day feed ducks/ nature hunt/ woods etc then my husband take him late afternoon for a long walk. Yours is very young at the moment .

No,I couldn’t do a 3 walk a day during working hours 😱 when I was very busy before lockdown a dog walker would take him late morning for me certain days.

Yes he is still a baby we only do 20 minute walks once or twice a day...we live in a coastal village and can walk to the beach in just about 10/15 minutes so it will be lovely when we can do that its just a little bit too much for him to walk there and back at the moment as we have been told walks should 5 mins per how many months of age.
