    Default Good morning Friday

I woke up very early this morning and couldn’t get back to sleep. I wonder if my body is starting to get me ready for early morning starts once I’m working again! At least at the moment I’ve got the luxury of being able to have an afternoon nap if I need it

This morning I’m going to look at writing up a coronavirus policy and risk assessment. I know one parent who will still try to send their child if they’re ill so I want to be very clear on when I will or won’t accept them.

Then this afternoon I’m going to sit and read my book. I never normally read in the day time, only in bed at night or if I’m having a lie in on a Sunday morning. Throughout lockdown I’ve rediscovered the joy of daytime reading and now that’s something else I’ll miss when I’m working again, along with an afternoon nap!

    Have good days everyone

    Good morning!

    Friday ALL DAY !

I sent my parents my corona policy yesterday ( and wrote a RA ) and one parent replied with 100 questions ... obviously had not read the policy as every single answer was in the policy! i answered one question and then said, the rest of the answers are in the policy! A fellow childminder has put in her policy that if a child is sent ill/having been dosed up a home, then that is immediate termination of the contract !!!! ( She has a high risk offender in this category ) I haven't gone that far, but i thought about it!

Working today ( and i will miss my 'reading in the sun' time too! fingers crossed they nap after lunch! ) then next week, one of my little ones is coming back for a morning ( to give mum a break i think! ). I am a touch confused though .... we're allowed to open for all children ... yet the powers that be are still saying 'stay at home if you can' ?!

Take care everyone, enjoy the sun!

Happy Friday everyone. I’m back to work next week and as the govt said I can, I’m open for all families. I’ve put things in place and done a policy but parents seem to have so many different views and concerns about starting back and relaxing lockdown in general. I’ve left it in there hands and said this is what I have in place, this is the most I feel I can feasibly do in a household setting and left them to decide if they wish to come back at the moment.

    Good afternoon.

Me and eldest dd are cleaning and doing the last bit of decluttering unfortunately our skip has been delayed till Tuesday. Dh finally had to accept defeat and agree we need one 🤣🤣🤣

We are taking a break in the garden for 10 minutes to enjoy the sunshine.

I brought a calligraphy set so hoping me and the girls enjoy doing that

Fussy that's so impressive that you decluttered enough to need a skip! That's amazing.

Let me know how you get on with calligraphy - I've been toying with getting a set for DD but the kits varied so much and I couldn't decide which bits were important.

Probably not posting in the right place and may of asked this before if I have sorry I’m a nit wit. But is anyone doing daily diaries as usual? I don’t wipe the letters the postman brings so I thought daily diaries low risk? Are books deemed no,no?

I'm still doing daily diaries. i write mine on an A5 hole punched sheet, that gets put in an A5 folder. I thought about them just taking the sheets home, but i find the diaries useful to look at myself to see when we did something ( or what we had for tea! )

We're also still reading lots of books! if 'my' baby puts one in his mouth, then i take it away, give it a spray and leave it to dry & 72 hrs ... but actually, he's not a 'mouther' !

    xx

I’m not taking books away. I’m doing like a library style returns system. So it’s put up on the side when it’s been used. I’ll clean it then return it to the other resources when it’s safe to do so. I only have schoolies coming back so it should be ok for them Get to grips with x
