I do love this programme but wish it was shown earlier in the year as i rarely get the chance to attempt the crafts i see.

I usually love it, but wasn’t taken by anything this week - the windows at the beginning are everywhere in Brighton. I think you have to be quite talented to produce a masterpiece- mine would just look like the ‘70’s typical snow spray windows I fear, even with a template and scraper action.
I wasn’t keen on pink died napkins either...but it did make me think I might buy a dye and refresh an old linen table cloth that is no longer white.
I will have a go at the advocaat...another childhood activity...using condensed milk. My memory of the taste is soft and delicious, but very sweet so just small sherry glass full unless lemonade is added for snowballs....I will probably add brandy instead of vodka too.
I will still tune in next week though as it’s interesting viewing.

Oh yes i really want to make the advocaat.

I liked the window scenes i dont think they have hit here yet but im thinking it needs more skils even with their amazing stencils.

Me too. By the time we get started (late November) there’s not much time to trawl round the craft shops to source all the specialised materials and put it all together.

With 2 million digital repeat channels, I can never figure out if I’m watching this year’s offerings or an old series.

A couple of years back, I bought a fake gold leaf kit and Kirstied every last thing in sight.

It’s now become a standing joke that I’ll only use double sided tape when wrapping.

My favourite, most simple piece of Kirstying is to tie cheap crimbo decorations to gift bags alongside the tag. Wilkos did rustic wooden Christmas tree decorations last year for about 50p. That was very well received.

Bunyip that made me laugh! Having watched one this morning which we have been saving I am convinced that I am watching an old series. Not a window or pink napkin in sight.

This morning it was snowglobes which we have just made. I have been meaning to make one for years but never had a jar at hand. Today we did and I finally gave in and donated one of my snowmen cake toppers. That kicked off our daily December Christmas activities nicely.

Wasn't keen on the Christmas tree decorations or the pottery.

Bunyip I'm definitely going to use your idea of adding baubles/decorations to gift bags!

Made the advocaat waiting for people to taste it to see if it worked.

It's gone 5pm, so obviously I've missed today's episode. Did anyone else see it?

I meant to watch it, but forgot!

I expect it will be on somewhere!

I like the ideas but never get round to using them!

We watched it later in the evening - but then I realised that it was a 2015 episode!

Oh well, Christmas never goes out of fashion.

DD remembered that she really would love a scalpel and cutting mat to create the schnerren schnitt (?) paper art which she also saw last year. Has anyone tried that craft before?
