We should start taking bets on when the first Christmas decorations will appear.

A family near us always used to put theirs out on 1st September. Either they've realised how daft that was, or they've moved away as the decorations haven't been out that early for a couple of years.

I should never have mentioned it. A friend in London just sent me a text message to say Selfridge's Christmas department has opened.

Mouse, you've usually finished your Christmas shopping by September haven't you?

All this talk of Christmas is panicking me!
I've still got a couple of big family do's to deal with, before I can to even think about the trauma of who to see where/when/how long!
DH and I would love to spend it on our own, but extended family don't agree! And think we should travel 4/5 hrs to visit them...apparently we live too far for them to visit us!!! We may get a reprieve this year ... DD is hoping to do panto, which will restrict our opportunities to go visiting

Poundworld are having what must be the earliest ever Christmas clearance sale. I stocke£ up on gift wrap. They must’ve had the stock delivered just before they went bust.
