Default When you know you are getting old

When drying the washing outside makes you happy but willing to wash anything that isnt pegged down 😂😂😂

What do you think makes you almost an adult.

Its a glorious day here again i have the day off me and dd1 have tidied up and we then be meeting an old mindee and her mum for a picnic in the park. Cant wait to see how much she has grown.

    Have a great day everyone

when you are sitting on the floor with the children, and wonder what else you can do whilst you are down there !!!

when you realise you are old enough to be some of the parents parent ( and the parent is actually that young either! )

I do love this weather though, and I too have been washing everything I can!

I’m feeling old this week. I’m 60 on Thursday. I had a parent come to see me today for some childcare and I’ve realised that she will be the last mindee I take on, working on my 4 year to retirement plan

..... when a pregnant woman gives her seat up for you,

..... and you can no longer sit down with exhaling audibly.

....when you used to be a huge music fan and now you don’t even know what record is number 1. In fact, you don’t even know if the still have the Top 40 these days!

You know you’re old when you feel the need for an afternoon nap more than the tots do! You used to be able to sit and have a cuppa while they slept , maybe a bit of paperwork....now You have to avoid sitting down at all costs.....😏

We were getting a new washing machine delivered/fitted last week. I was so excited at the thought of being able to clean the floor where the machine usually sits before they fitted the new one. How dull! In the end the two delivery men were so big and scary (rude and grumpy to be honest) that I just kept out of their way and didn't do my cleaning after all.

I remember nineteenish years ago when DH and I first started going out. It was something like our fifth date, at his place, and he wore a jumper which used to be his dads and would have been quite old fashioned even for his dad. I remember thinking that it was really quite atrocious, but feeling so liberated because I didn't care! That was a real, wow, I've just grown up! moment. They do say love is blind!

lovely that they see me as one of them, but no thank you! I can't stay awake long enough to go out!

I had to read that a couple of times mama2three! Hen don't! It made me chuckle, but sad that the wedding is off.

Why do hen/stag do's have to be at least a weekend these days? Why can't they be just an evening like they used to be? No offence to anyone who had a weekend/week away for theirs. I'm just a grumpy old woman!

My daughter went on a hen weekend in London, posh restaurant, hotel over night and a day spa with treatments for 5 of them..... all paid for by the best man. He put up £5000 for it!!!! Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. These 2 families have loads of money but I still think it could be put to a better use
