    Happy Mothers Day Fussy!

I'm spending mine at DDs dance audition and then a brass band concert watching both my children! I can't manage DSs football match as well! DH is away, so I've had to organise a lift for DS!

I was really touched on Friday when one of my LO's gave me some flowers for 'being my other mummy' . Awww.

Happy Mothers Day to everyone xxx

Happy Mother's Day to everyone celebrating it and special thoughts to those who find the day difficult xx

We've had a lovely day. All the children are home for the weekend so we had a Sunday roast at lunchtime then have all chilled out this afternoon.

I have a parent who eldest son came to me at 5 mths then after her 2nd don was born they left my care after 4 years. The eldest is now 11 and they still bring me flowers on mother’s day. She’s been through some tough times and doesn’t have a relationship with her own mum. She’s says I’m like a mum to her and I’m happy to have that title, all because of the job I choose to do. Hope everyone enjoyed their day

A bit belated but I hope you all experienced a bit of spoiling Yesterday.

We walked up Loughrigg and then returned exhausted to.....the football and rugby. My latest holiday home has the full blown sky experience! It reminded me of my son’s teenage years which was the last time we had sky sport and the sound of crowds cheering was always background noise.

My gifts were sheep related, which I loved - some little cardboard sheep I could make and a lovely Herdy mug. Our youngest has joined us for a break.
DH made a great Sunday roast with his new Yorkshire pudding tray. Our favourite cook shop has its headquarters here and a huge shop, heaven.
Next door is a supermarket which I have not had much experience of -Booths, lovely atmosphere but DH worked out our big shop ( it is the nearest supermarket apart from the co- op or Tesco express ) cost about £20 more than Sains/ Morrison’s/ Asda. We will have to think about our food shopping when we move into our real house and this holiday time ends. I think we will probably drive for 45 minutes to a big supermarket...which is different to 5 mins, our Midlands town had Aldi, Lidle, Asda, Morrison’s Sainsbury’s and a huge co op.....adjustment time for us.
We might even venture in to delivery for groceries.

I loved reading about the your activities on mother’s day...showing that when you have a young family life carries on as normal...even on the day that technically is dedicated to you.

Awww, I've had flowers and cards in the past but not this year. It makes you feel special because they gave them to you because they want to not because it's expected and that counts.

Mine was a little different this year. I had my first 'day' of Paediatric First Aid training (yes on Mother's day but I couldn't get one with 2 consecutive weekends I could do). I was out of the house from 7.30am - 5.25pm! including journey & breaks. I wasn't a happy bunny. But when I walked through our back door 2 of my 3 boys were standing there with some flowers and a glass of fizz. And my husband was cooking. So that was appreciated. But son number 2 was missing as I explained to him that I had the training to do and as his journey from Uni is 3 hours each way we decided it wasn't worth the journey.
