The holidays have been ok so far. I do miss having the school run to break up the day but then it's nice to let the kids play without having to be anywhere. I have a week off next week. We will be going to see family for a couple of days and then a couple of day trips. I'm really looking forward to actually spending time with my kids. I feel bad that I haven't spent much time with my 5 yo DD. But I'm going to make sure we get some proper time together next week.
I have to say Bunyip - I think my DD has come through reception really well. She still loves all the stuff she used to - like junk modelling, making mud pies, etc. Her school seemed to have a lot of free play time and she can happily entertain herself. Hoping year one isn't too much of a shock to her!

I finish this week for a two week break. It's gone so fast but it's been lovely, long sunny days, relaxed, happy and fun x

Apart from attitude that seems to change with the onset on school all mine ask to do all the things I do with the younger ones. Lots of games and craft activities they join in with. With regard to the attitude, they are told "not on my watch!" And they seem to tow the line.

Back to normal for us today, the 6.45am alarm clock was a bit of a shock after 6 weeks of lie ins!
