Lol isnt that a stage that all children are meant to go through. I believe i means you had a good and normal attachment to your parents and suffered no childhood trauma. But thats just something i read and as always new research comes in and they change yhe goal posts as it were

I saw a film about some nuns when I was very young and decided that I really wanted to be a nun. I think it showed them just helping people and really glorified that aspect of the work. It obviously didn't focus on any other aspect of their life because I am absolutely not cut out to be a nun, lol. Then I went through a phase of wanting to be a farmer (strangely not a farmer's wife though) because I thought I could get to hang out with the animals all day.

From the age of about seven though I really wanted to teach. I went through phases of wanting to teach infants, juniors and secondary, specialising in different subjects, but I just had a burning desire to teach. After teaching for a few years I decided that I wanted to be a childminder, because I could still teach but not be constrained by a timetable, and that really appealed to me. I also liked the idea of nurturing the 'whole' child, such as planning lovely nutritious menus. I have been so fortunate to have experienced both careers, and on the whole loved them, but have taken off my rose tinted spectacles too I have to say!
