Me and dd2 have just made rolo brownies for ds2 football team later.
My plans for today are football then watch the rugby later.

Morning.
We don't do valentines...well, I don't. Every year I say to DH "we don't get each other anything do we?" He says no, so I don't get him anything, then he always gets something for me!
He's working anyway this morning so I'm getting on with some jobs round the house before deciding whether or not to sort the craft cupboard. It's at the stage where everything falls out when I open the door so it really needs doing.
Have a good day all

My dh is away too , so ive spent my valentines morning making a triangular mirror! Its my valentines present to me , and if the kids like it tomorrow then thats an added bonus!

We don't do valentines day either. Never have quite got it. We are off out to the woods in a bit, then building a wooden dragon with my youngest. Enjoy your football.

Our 20th Valentine's Day this year - My card is in the post apparently, I'm used to it x

I was 'treated' to Pizza Express on Tesco clubcard vouchers.

It was particularly cold actually I mean freezing.
Took a while to warm back up.
We don't do valentines and apparantly like I did a couple of years ago when finding flowers and chocs to ask what he has done and how upset will I be is ungrateful.
So I have been appreciative this year. Please admire my tact and sheer willpower 😂😂

We get a card for each other but nothing else. Going out to dinner tonight but not really because its valentines day. My partner doesn't buy me flowers at all as he says I would say"what have you done?" but I honestly wouldn't!! So I buy flowers for myself on a regular basis

DH often buys me flowers, but I tell him not to on Valentine's day because I begrudge the way the prices shoot up just for then!

We don't get each other anything either. DH was very articulate last night when he explained to DD that he 'doesn't need a special date to show mummy how much he loves her because he loves mummy very much every day'. It sounded very well rehearsed! It was probably more about convincing himself, rather than DD, that it was ok not to spend money! We always have a nice coffee at the weekend (instant in the week) and in previous years he has created a heart with the foam - but he didn't this year... He said that we would share a nice bottle of red to celebrate, but we do that most weekends too, lol. Although we have opened one of our more expensive bottles tonight (not that I can tell the difference).
I think other countries take it more seriously than we do.

Just watched an advert for veet pedicure - suggesting this Valentine this should be given! We never have celebrated Valentines but if my DH gave me a hard skin remover as a valentine gift he wouldn't be my valentine for a long time!
Spent the day in North staffs hospital with mil but hearing the young nurses Valentine experiences has been fun.
