    Tbh, I'm a little relieved it's gone.

Last Monday-Tuesday we had children from a total of 5 families, and only 1 sent suncream and 2 sent hats.

Tuesday evening I sent out a reminder to all parents: loose-fitting cotton clothes to cover as much as possible, please, plus sunhats, and at least 1 full change of clothes for water play.

Things got better as a rule after my message. But still: 1 parent's response was to send 3 pairs of clean pants and nothing else; another clearly felt that a puffer-jacket was appropriate attire for Wednesday's 30+ degree temperature.

    Gimme strength.

I'm glad it's gone too! I hate it and I hate the sun cream stress! It's pleasant here though, not wet and cold.
A couple of mindees will not keep their sun hats on and I was worried that I would lose the hats all last week. I'm not a Summer girl, never have been, never will be. Bah humbug.

I am not a sun lover either, growing up with ginger hair and fair skin has made me a Spring and Autumn lover instead!
My North facing garden attracted me to my house.

The whole H&S aspect of children and sun has always mildly stressed me, even with my own children.

So today is just right, outdoor water play and just enough warmth not to get cold with all the wetness but not enough for me to constantly wonder if all the water on their arms and legs has washed off the sun cream? !

For peace of mind I have bought everything I need to protect 3 little ones in the sun as like you, the stress of looking in the bag for something to cover head or strap py shoulder coverings was an initial morning dread.

Hope the sun returns for you Fussy, but continues to stay away from me.

Wet morning here now sun trying to come out. I love the sun and after years of trying to get sun hats and cream of parents keep a supply of my own . I inform parents at I will use my own sun cream if they don't supply and get them to sign permission form too many ruined days because one forgets cream. My main bug bare is that parents are incapable of checking the weather report. One day last week we had thunder storms and only one child out of three had a coat and off course one had the dreaded sparkly shoes.😁
