WEEKEND PLANS

Well so far dh has dropped dd1 at dancing ds1 at cadets. he then needs to pick dd1 up have some dinner drop me and dd1 and dd2 off for some retail therapy. then take himself and ds2 to rugby. I will collect ds1 and then its take away for tea

Football for ds2 tomorrow.

Really hoping the rain stops its miserable here

We have just finished ds homework and are going to chill for the day. Oh n tmw mil is taking us out to lunch

So far I have got out of bed at 11.45am... much needed lie in. Then have my 3yo nephew soon til 3.30 after that into town to pay of sone money on my children's Christmas presents and the boyfriend coming up tonight for a dvd so a quiet Saturday

Never weekends are like any other day in this house just a bit more laid back

I have to say i dont know how i would cope if i didn't get chilled out days. Not that they happen very often but once a month here seems to be about it.

How are you still going? Or is it busier when its football season?

Busier when its football season. Its the disadvantage of having a ds who live and breathes sport (and any sport). Though we have a show coming up next month for eldest dd so that's taking up a chunk of the week. Managed to fit in some baking today so all good and a bit of big bang theory

i am sat staring into the distance .....i mean studying!
Mr Wobble is at Beachgirls house making a big mess in her playroom with Mr Beachy
Beachgirl and i are off to a wedding evening do tonight - mum is an adhoc parent of mine and a fellow school yard friend of Beachgirls and I. We are going with another mum of mine and we know we will meet up with some more of our parents and school mums! will be fabulous

i am sat with lush henna hair dye on my head and my bathroom looks like there has been a dirty protest there....yeuk!

Tomorrow Mr Wobble and i will start prepping the front room for decorating over half term - Mr Beachy is going to help put down an oak floor in the hols.

so it is all go go go!

Enjoy these weekends whilst you can! My two sons are all grown up now but we spent most of their growing up time busy watching them play football, rugby or cricket and for a while, time trialling. Our social life was being roadies when they played in various music groups/ bands after what seemed at the time of never ending music lessons ( though watching youngest play at Glastonbury was one of the best weekends!)
As they left home our life became our own and .....we missed it!

We have now created our own weekend 'must do's' but jump at the chance to watch a friends youth game, or support a young band at a gig!!

It doesn't seem at the time like it is always what you want to do at the weekends ....but when it stops you realise how much you enjoy it!

Not sure where you live but in our small road 3 houses have been up for sale for ages and have recently all sold, seems a trend that they are starting to move...so hopefully it won't be long now.

A childminder told me recently that she had lots of views but no offers until she hid anything to do with childminding, just looked like they had a child...and more offers were made! She thought that prospective purchasers didn't like the idea that the house had been used by lots of children, even though there was no evidence of bashed skirtings or door frames! Psychologically she felt it was being held against her.

I have a very rare weekend all to myself Kids have gone to Dad's for the weekend for his 'official birthday'
(It was his his birthday last month, but apparently it's not 'official' till he's celebrated it at his Dads according to the ex)

So what have I done with all that free time?......

Well, front to back so far today, upstairs I may tackle tomorrow, or maybe not

I don't mind. Sometimes the logistics of getting them there and picking up is difficult but we manage.

All home now dh is looking a bit battered after rugby. Waiting for our dominoes take away and I have baked these beauties for dessert. Meringue fingers sandwiched together with cream and butterscotch sauce mmmmk

Ohhh YUMMY Elmo! Dribbling now!

YS (not so young now at 22!) and I have made a start, transforming our tiny spare room into a study for me. We're painting this weekend and probably next as well. We've been to see Equalizer at the cinema this afternoon - anything Denzil is in is good in my books!

DD, 5, has a bit of a tummy bug so her clubs (tap and swimming) were not going to happen. We went to a big Tescos and bought some craft stuff and spent the rest of the morning doing craft projects. We then did some baking and lots of role play - it's a long day when you don't have clubs to go to! Hubby made a delicious lunch and then he went out to watch rugby while DD and I watched 'Annie'. She loved it, even though I had to keep pressing pause to explain what was going on! Of course then we had to role play 'orphanages' until bedtime. No plans tomorrow, yippee!

Is it saturday still?
Last night dh and I went to a 375th birthday party! ... (several people with big birthdays sharing!) Great fun but rather late.
Today I had some childminder training (getting good in inspection) ... really good ...
I got home and then we went out for tea and to see Kate Rusby in concert. Fantastic.
I'm sooo tired though but my brain is buzzing!
Tomorrow dh ds and dd have band, dd has a panto audition and then we've got a harvest festival in the afternoon!
I might sit down at some point! At least it's been a weekend off football!
