    Default NEW YEARS EVE!!

So what is everyone doing tonight?

Are you staying in and having a party?

    Are you venturing out?

Are you going to bed before 12!?

    Do you have any resolutions!?

I'm at my folks house and have 2 small children so just staying in. Not decided on resolutions!

Have a great time whatever you are doing!

Could be a long night. I don't think our chocolates will be finished before next Christmas!

Just us at home ... Will probably stay up to watch jools hootanany. Children may or may not be in bed!

Have just made huge curry with last of turkey! Still got lots of Christmas chocs and nibbles to be eaten here too :-)

New years resolution that is NOT childminding related is to make more time to catch up with friends both close by and further afield.

Childminding related is to spend less time out of working hours doing work related stuff!

Home alone as dh still away at work, my 2 are at their dad's. I have just finished work after starting at 7am so I think it will be a large Baileys promptly followed by sleep. I don't think I will make midnight!! Have fun everyone x

Family coming here for tea but leaving early to get little ones of to bed. We will be up until midnight at least our dog is terrified of fireworks and around here lots of people set off big fireworks. We use a special plug in to calm him but he still gets distressed.

Out to a local Indian with friends, back to one of their houses for 'the bells' - all theirs and our children are grown up now and after the Indian will go on to their own celebrations....saved some Loire valley lets pretend to be champagne from France trip in the Summer so oldies will be soaking up the Indian with this whilst half listening to Jools.

Lump of coal organised for first footing - no tall dark men to do this though!

Lovely, quiet(ish) celebrations with people we love and respect, usually end up really happy about our lives and make a resolution to do something more glamorous next year.....but I expect this time next year I will be putting my glad rags on to go to the local Indian!

Hope everyone, no matter how you bring in the New Year has a great start to 2014!

    DH is working till 10pm

So me and the kids are attempting like the Juggler to eat through the cheese and chocolate. Though seeing how much cheese we have left we may all be sick.

Happy new year everyone. I will be pouring a Baileys in a while

Off to friends in nearby village so staying overnight so we can both drink and taking our dogs with us for them to have a party too with their mad canine friends! I offered to take a dessert but my friend had a creme brulee set (complete with blow torch) for Xmas so she wanted to practise - need to check out the fire exits when we arrive!

We stayed down in Southampton last night for a little treat, so are all tired. We have just eaten some of our vast supply of cheese and just started on the chocolates. Will probably have a glass of wine and snuggle down to watch something recorded and then Gary Barlow probably.

Whatever everyone is doing, hope they have a good time and a Happy New Year to all xxx

Having Indian takeaway delivered later!! DS1 gone to London with friends, DS3 in Oz so already seen New Year in, so its me, hubby, DS2 and DS4 together with their girlfriends. They will be going out for a bit then coming back for takeaway about 10 ish and see the new year in!!! No drinking for me (not that I drink much) as DS4 needs a lift to work in the morning then I will come back and take Christmas tree down while everyone else is still sleeping = can't be doing with keeping it up till 12th night - like to get back to normal once Christmas is over - miserable I know

Resolution - to keep on top of paperwork more - take loads of photos, but need to keep LJ's/Profiles/Planning upto date, especially as I am way overdue my inspection

Happy New Year everyone - Hope 2014 is a good one for you all xx
