do you tip your hairdresser or anyone else for that matter??
I have just been and had my hair done at a local but very expensive salon. I love having my hair done there but it does cost me a lot but it's my treat to myself. I feel that I pay way enough for the service I receive but there is a little bit of me that feels a maybe I should give a tip too.
Do people still tip?

i don't. i pay by card. Like you it costs a fortune as it is. I do tip in restaurants but not in bars. That makes me sound very mean doesn't it.
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got

I used to when prices were reasonable... I don't any more unless the service I get is exceptional

I tip the lady who does my waxing, I tried to do it myself and got in a right mess so I'm really grateful not to have to do it myself.

I'm getting stronger at not tipping. I used to tip hairdressers, pizza delivery man, taxi drivers, restaurants etc. Now, money is tighter and I also refuse to tip for average/ordinary service. I always cringe at myself when I don't though. x

Same here. Service has to be excellent to get a tip.

I always tip unless the service has been shocking.

I do tip, after living in central London for such a long time it became the norm for me.

I rarely tip a hairdresser if I have have paid £60-£80 for some hair dye and a blow dry. I am crawling out the door in shock clutching my purse in sheer terror!

I always tip the person who washed my hair if different from the stylist who cuts an colours it because normally there training and only earning pennies also I make sure they get ALL of the tip if I'm paying £90 for highlights and a cut that Is one weeks wages for the apprentice just giving that extra £5 would cheer them up and put a smile on their face, It's easy to forget about the person that washed your hair when you have beautiful locks and a numb bum from sitting there for 5 hours but it makes someone's day just that little tip
