Default CHRISTMAS IN YOUR TOWN ....

Well the Christmas carols have started in our shops

Santa and a carnival on Saturday and the Christmas decorations and lights go on in town

Then in two weeks we have the German market arrive soooo exiting

What do they have in your town ...do you have special markets or anything ?

We have lights and a tree in the high street usually turned on by nobody special and that's about it! The local garden centre has reindeers, other than that, not much!

I love the Birmingham German Christmas market. My husband and I (ooh sounds regal lol) go every year. My tips...look around the market as early as possible. It is lovely, but by the afternoon it is sooo packed you cant see anything. By the afternoon we go to the German beer and gluwein stall(with a brilliant carol singing moose) and get merry!I wouldnt advise taking young children or a pushchair if you can help it because it really does get crowded. However I love the atmosphere and cant wait to go this year . have fun xx

    It's absolutely fantastic!!

Just avoid the tempting beautiful smelling garlic bread!!! It's lethal and they use that much garlic it skins your tongue and makes you choke lol

Apart from that it's beautiful, magical and will certainly get you in the mood for Santa

Have a great time and let us know how your trip goes xx

Thanks ..it will be just me and DH and it will be on a Saturday morning as I don't think we will have time on the Friday before the concert, We are staying out on the NEC complex and planning on going in on the train as I believe it's not to far from the station, can't wait now as it sounds really good.

Our town's lights go on Fri 22th November and they have a reindeer parade on the 23rd With Santa pulled by his reindeer and elves, bands, majorettes etc. Last year it was pouring and the pour elves were soaked (young teenagers) Santa had a brolly though! We even stroked reindeer last year
