.... Put diesel in the car!!!

Went out this am and spotted that I needed fuel however I had enough to do what I needed and thought to myself I would get some before going out again later.

Went out in a rush leaving my purse at home, no fuel light on car so I didn't notice until I wa halfway to picking dd up from her dad, too late for me to turn around and thought I would just about make it home.

I didn't.

Ran out of diesel a couple if miles from home, dh is at home with a screaming baby, I have the baby car seat so he can't come and rescue me - oops!!

Had to ring my friend to come and get me and dd, leaving the car where it is ready to be collected in the morning.

How embarrassing!!

It happens to the best of us...I ran out of fuel on school run one day had to bail out of the car and phone for a taxi!! Kids thought its was great

Apparently it's really bad to run out of diesel! If air gets in the system it can cause problems! I hope your car is ok! I did it a few years ago and thankfully my car was fine! Good luck! X
