Proud mummy alert!

I am going to crow and I don't give a monkey's!

Katie (21 sen) has been unemployed for just over a year. She has just got a zero hours contract at a local card shop. She makes up the rest as a volunteer at a local pound shop. This rest makes up her £90 a week dole)

Ok... Some folk will say she is working for nothing at the pound shop and is therefore being taken advantage of ... But ... She is learning how to work, she is getting up in the morning, she has something to wake up to.

Well this week she has done 14 hours at the card shop- they put her on the till today and she was fab. She was accurate with her takings too ( and this is the child with the maths skills of a 9 yr old) . She has had a meeting with her workfare advisor who has done nothing but praise her. Katie has come home as high as a kite- apparently the deputy manager of the pound shop is working on the manager to give her a proper job as soon as one comes about. The card shop are equally in love with her.

I really can't put down how I feel. I am so flipping proud of my girl, the girl I was told who wouldn't walk, talk and would need feeding. Her brain damage is so advanced.

So two shops have fallen in love with her... And it looks like they will fight for her!
